Bernadette Lawrence has a dream to be recognized for her
God-given talents - singing and writing songs.
From the age of 4 or 5 she danced and sang with
her brothers and sisters (7 brothers and 3
sisters) on a beautiful island in the Caribbean
Sea called Dominique. She performed in school
plays and dance companies and sang lead with the
world renowned Swinging Stars Orchestra.
In New York she studied voice, dance and
acting and performed in an Off-Broadway musical
written by Edgar White and in plays by Sam Tate
and Sullivan Walker.
As a member of the
Ron Roche Caribbean Ensemble, Bernadette
performed in the New York area in venues like
Town Hall, the U.N. International School, and in
Mexico and Barbados (at Carifesta).
The
dream is still alive and the CD is called
Romance. Bernadette has written seven of the
songs and co-wrote Not A Game with Rod Clemmons,
arranger and producer extraordinaire of the CD.
